Mouse Pad is Damaged
It is possible that your mouse pad is completely broken. A way to work around this is to use the keys fn and F5 at the same time to disable the mouse pad. Once the mouse pad is disabled, you can plug in and use an external mouse for your device.

Keys are Sending Multiple or Wrong Outputs
There is a good chance the keyboard has suffered water damage. To fix this you can remove the keys by sticking something, such as small flat head screwdriver, under them and apply upward pressure slowly. Start by only using a little bit of pressure at first and then slowly increase it until the keys pop out of place. Once the key pops out, you can use a paper tower to dab on and around where the keys were. Once the it looks dry, you can line the key up with the space it came from and apply pressure until the keys snap back into place.

Press control, shift and escape keys all at the same time to bring up the task manager. Use the down arrow labeled “more details” and examine which programs are using up a lot of CPU and memory.
