For the steamer to work, it is necessary to fill the tank with water and add salt. Both must be measured according to the norm; for this, measuring containers are included in the kit. What is salt for? Inside the Weety w 902 steamer there is a special element – an electrode – which is based not on the principle of incandescence (as in a conventional steam iron), but on the electrolysis reaction. Water with a minimal addition of salt (salt changes the density of water at the same time) becomes a powerful current conductor, due to which steam is generated. Accordingly, a manual electrolysis-type garment steamer without adding salt, when plugged into an outlet, will only heat up inside, but there will be no steam pressure.
